How long does establishing a company and opening a bank account take?

Establishing a company can be completed in one day if everything is in order. However, if you start from the preparation stage, it usually takes one to two months.

Especially when a foreign company establishes a joint stock company or limited liability company in Japan, it often takes time to remit the capital overseas. Although it varies from country to country, there are cases where there is a certain limit to the amount of money transferred overseas, or where certain procedures must be followed before the money can be transferred. When establishing a company, you may have to move tens of millions of yen at a time. We recommend that you check the rules in your home country beforehand.

Also, opening a bank account varies from bank to bank, but it usually takes one to two weeks after being approved to open a bank account.
